After more than a year and three months sailing through European ports, our Freedom Flotilla boat Handala will arrive in Malta late Tuesday, August 13 and be available for journalists to see, meet the people involved and learn about our mission to expose, challenge and end the inhumane and illegal blockade of Gaza.

The Freedom Flotilla mission “For the Children of Gaza” began in April 2023, visiting ports in various countries as we build solidarity with the Palestinian people suffering under Israel’s 17-year blockade and now 10-month genocidal siege. During events in these ports with Handala’s crew and participants from more than a dozen countries, we have also emphasized the complicity of European, US and other governments in this ongoing genocide. We support the #NoHarbourForGenocide demand that the supply of military fuel for Israeli’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza must be prohibited and prevented.

Speakers will include Handala participants from several legs of this voyage, international Freedom Flotilla Coalition members and local political representatives.

From Malta, Handala will continue on its mission sailing towards Gaza.

In order to be admitted to the shipyard, journalists must contact (Fellipe Lopes, FFC Media Officer +353899816604 – media@freedomflotilla.orgwith their ID, name and contact phone in order to receive location information.
