‘Largest in History’ – Netanyahu Announces Gas Deal with Egypt, Cairo Silent

Netanyahu announced Israel’s approval of a $35 billion natural gas agreement linked to the Leviathan field, describing it as the largest deal in the country’s history, while Egypt has yet to issue a response.

Speaking in a televised address alongside Energy Minister Eli Cohen, Netanyahu said Israel had reached an agreement with Egypt valued at 112 billion shekels (approximately $35 billion), adding that roughly half of the revenues would go to Israel.
