Israel has positioned itself as a "green energy leader" while committing genocide. But behind the climate branding lies a legal architecture designed to make occupation permanent. The EU compounds this: frameworks like the EU Taxonomy, the Energy Community Treaty, and the EU-Israel Association Agreement open the door to financing apartheid under the cover of climate policy. Solar panels on illegal settlements and gas extracted from illegally occupied waters are not climate solutions. They are occupation infrastructure dressed in green.
The EU's green frameworks are not neutral, they are political tools that legitimise occupation when they classify fossil fuels as transition energy and leave military investments unscrutinised. These frameworks don't just fail to prevent harm; they actively resource it, channelling finance toward the fossil fuel and arms industries sustaining Israel's genocide. This matters beyond Palestine: the global militarist turn is being fuelled, literally, by the same energy systems these frameworks protect. There is nothing green about powering a genocide. A just transition demands dismantling the legal architecture that makes it possible.
WHAT WE DO
This campaign tears back the veil on Israel's greenwashing strategy. We challenge international environmental organizations, climate NGOs, and green energy companies to reject partnerships that enable Israeli apartheid and settler colonialism. We expose how renewable energy infrastructure is built on confiscated Palestinian land" and how international climate conferences provide platforms for genocide propaganda.
Take Action
Demand that European institutions stop hiding genocide behind climate policy and urge them to stop financing apartheid under the cover of climate policy. Expose and denounce the role of energy corporations like Enlight, profiting from illegal occupation and genocide. Demand accountability and an end to the weaponisation of environmentalism.
